Regulus kicked a stone along his path and watched it skip a few feet away before it collided with a tree. It was actually sunny out for once, and though still a bit cold it wasn't ridiculously so.  Unable to spend another minute inside the library he decided to go for a walk around the grounds. He'd been in a foul mood all day, and was attributing it to a bad case of cabin fever.  His classes were boring, his friends were either up to their ears in schoolwork or busy chasing after girls and the people who were around....well, they weren't worth being around.

Except maybe Emmeline. She didn't seem so bad. She was pretty, and she was actually nice to him from the start. (A big plus when you're in Slytherin) And at 14, what other qualities was he really looking for?

Regulus kicked another stone, though quite a bit harder and listened as it skipped along....and hit someone in the leg.

"I'm sure he can. He's a magnificent man or so I've been told," Regulus grinned. He looked out at the lake and realized how late it was getting.

"I better head back in," he said with a sigh, "I've still got loads to do before classes tomorrow. But we will have to arrange a time soon to take over the kitchen."
She laughed. "So I hear." Emma smiled at him and then followed his gaze over the lake.

"Alright." Emma's smile softened. "Definitely. I look forward to it."
Regulus didn't want to go, but he really did have a pile of papers to take care of. At least this chance meeting had gone well. Better than he could have hoped for really.

He stood up slowly and dusted himself off. "I'll see you around then," He said smiling and walked back to the castle.
"See you," she said, chosing to remain by the tree. She now felt liek she knew a bit more about him, had seen a different side of Regulus Black. And Emma found that she liked it. She watched the sun set and went back in only when it was too cold to stay out there any longer.
